What a beautiful story of you and Derek. Best wishes for 20 more wonderful “smooth” years and very little “rough”! Best, Kathie McDonald-McClure, Louisville, Kentucky
Beautifully written. Thought-provoking for those of us who teeter on the 'will I stay, will I go' fence, when long term partnerships loose their spark and connection (very common for 50+ aged couples). I've discovered over the past few years that there's more 'coupling' options than traditional marriage (joint everything) or single (total independence).
PS. I know I'm late commenting, but just discovering some of your work. Keep doing it, you're inspiring so many others.
I shed a few tears writing this - not gonna lie!
I shed a few tears reading it, what a beautiful tale of love, thank you for sharing it and hope Derek gets better soon!
That’s so lovely to read Ells. Especially having known you and dezza through your journey together. So many truths for you and for us all.
Glad it touched you too! She’s the odd year while writing it!
I also found my eyes getting tearful reading that. Definitely worth reading. Didn’t know you met in Hampi, such a great place.
Hope recovery comes soon.
thanks sweetheart - he is on the mend! Hope all good with you - and Jonathan's back is improving xxx

Loved this Eleanor.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Derek!
Thanks Chloe - patient bit brighter today!
Hope you can soon celebrate together - many congratulations and much anniversary love!
It never feels like that at the start! I try and explain that to my girls. Good things come in unlikely packages!

That is the sweetest and also most profound thing about marriage I’ve ever read. Well done - in every sense
