Such an odd day, so loaded with meaning and emotional complexity in a way father's day is not

I’m a mum to two. I detest social media on this day - I feel like that’s my stuff but it was comforting to read this and I deleted insta for the weekend. ✨

I’m a U.S. reader and our Mother’s Day is in May. I have a lovely unconflicted relationship with my three sons (I think!) and I love your words about how an abundance of mother love helps make one sturdy. I’ll remember this in May!

Beautiful piece. Thank you for writing it. Definitely not easy when you have a complicated relationship with your aging mother (and your sibling does not).

Beautiful, thank you. And I'm glad you're still holding that question close: "how are you feeling, my love?"

Of course - if that phrase resonates dear Queenager check out Ayala’s substack - she writes so beautifully and is so wise!

A beautiful piece Elenor, recognising the complexity’s of motherhood in all its forms and stages. Remembering those who have experienced grief and loss as well. Thank you
